Facebook Problems – Threat to Businesses

The impact of Social Media on our personal, social and business life is immense. Lots of people like Facebook, as it helps a person or business to easily interact with each other by sharing pictures, videos, products, offerings and other stuffs. Business sector has greatly affected by Facebook. Facebook has lots of positive aspects for online business world, but at the same time, it creates problems and hectic tasks for marketers. Facebook problems can not only waste valuable time, but it also divert business managers mind to irrelevant things that may have no relation with business.

Facebook problems like non-filtered data sharing allowed many countries to ban it. China, Pakistan, Syria and Vietnam banned and blocked it services due to religious discriminatory and anti Islamic posts that created big mess in many Muslim countries. Just like this, businesses also get lots of discriminatory stuffs in groups and like pages. People usually use abusive languages and bad words for criticism on business pages and groups which triggers and generates negative word of mouth

Online businesses have no option to block and stop access of irrelevant people to pictures, videos and other confidential information. People can easily copy and share it on their wall which can create serious problems for lots of online businesses, as competitors can easily copy ideas, product design, target market and marketing strategies. If a person wants to show a design, logo or commercial to a specific person, everyone will be able to see it, it can leak your idea in the market.

One of the major Facebook problems in a business marketing strategy is that everyone can like your business like page, whether he or she knows your business, rules and policies or not. It usually makes more clutter and crowd like environment on business page.

Advertising on Facebook is cheaply and convenient, but they are usually ignored by target market. Ads are usually posted on the right side with unattractive design which avoids people to click or see what’s in it

Facebook is not a perfect place for many online businesses. It is confined to teenager’s young people because of its informal applications and complex to use. So businesses offering products or services for old and aged people cannot get benefit of Facebook
